Mode
Jeg læste forleden denne definition af mode: “modetøj er tøj der er så grimt at det skal udskiftes hvert halve år” – ganske morsomt og for folk som ikke er inde i mode, fashion og haute couture, ikke helt skævt, det ser i hvert fald sjovt ud når modellerne går catwalk i de opfindsomme haute couture dragter, som de færreste ville finde på at rende rundt i til dagligt.
Nu er haute couture også eksempler på modeskaberens visioner, det er tøj, som i symbolform repræsenterer tidens tendenser og som afspejles i den mode vi køber i butikkerne, det kan være at hovedvægten er lagt på forskellige materialer, mønstre eller andre faktorer som f.eks. at gøre tøjet androgynt eller hhv. meget feminint eller maskulint. Disse trends ændrer sig hele tiden og kollektionerne afspejler selvfølgelig også årstiderne, så der er en sommerkollektion (som oftest inkluderer forår) og en vinter kollektion som medtager efterårets mode også.
Modetøj er altså både haute couture og så almindeligt modetøj som vi kender det fra butikkerne. Haute couture er dyrt, meget dyrt, og det er de færreste som har råd til en Coco Channel kjole til måske 50.000 kroner, mens modetøj fra f.eks. Diesel eller G-Star står i nogle helt andre priser. Der hvor vi i Danmark ser flest internationale brands er faktisk indenfor accessories som tasker,bælter og solbriller, mens det mere jordnære mærker som Lewi’s og Jack and Jones repræsenterer dagligdags mode for de fleste.
Sommermode 2011
Sommerens mode er nok dikteret af de store modehuse, men mode er gudskelov også individuel på den måde at den enkelte er frit stillet til at sammensætte sit tøj. Moden for sommeren 2011 er altså principielt fastlagt men i praksis kun bundet af nogle generelle retningslinier.
Modefarver 2010 er forskellige nuancer af hvid i toner som elfenben, creme, og beige mens sommerens materialer bliver chiffon, silke og bomuld. Vi ser også inspiration fra 1970′er hvor filmen Taxi Driver med Jodie Foster og moden fra den hedengangne New York klub, Studio 54 tydeligt skinner igennem med pastelfarver og forskellige “hippie” og blomstermønstre dominerede. Vintage mode, eller ny mode inspireret af mode fra tidligere tider er i øvrigt flot beskrevet i bogen Vintage Mode af Kate M. Mulvey.
Ud over hvid og 70′er inspiration er tiden igen kommet til de stærke farver som pink, lime og andr neonfarver, som til stor glæde for mange lyser op og giver mulighed for at præge tøjstilen henimod større individualitet.
